In the Layer series, I build upon my quilting roots by blending traditional techniques with painterly expression. Rather than sewing together printed and solid fabrics, I first paint and create unique surfaces using pigment and water. These hand-crafted fabrics then become the canvas onto which I add texture and dimension through carefully stitched lines and intricate thread work. This process transforms each piece into a harmonious fusion of painting and textile art.
